Bronchitis
Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchial tubes in the chest. Acute bronchitis can be caused by certain types of viruses as well as bacterial infections. Symptoms of bronchitis will include: cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, sore throat, watery eyes, headache, chills, body aches, fatigue and fever may be present.
In the early stages of onset, the symptoms of bronchitis can present very similar to those of a common cold. During a physical exam, your doctor will listen closely to your lungs as you breathe to help make a diagnosis.

- Chest X-ray
- Sputum tests
- Pulmonary function test
Chronic Bronchitis - is bronchitis that persists over a long period of time and is most common in smokers. The main symptoms of chronic bronchitis are cough, difficulty breathing and wheezing.
